The outcome of this Office stems from an AUW strategic aim to be a nationally, regionally and internationally recognized academic center for excellence in women’s education. The Office of QAIA has in place robust mechanisms for setting and maintaining academic and institutional assessments standards and for assuring the quality of the learning opportunities which AUW offers.

In order to continue to be a sustainable institution, AUW recognizes that it must build on the confidence and reputation he already owns to work towards achieving its own degree of awarding powers. While the strengths of AUW’s current systems provide an excellent starting point, this will require AUW to sustain, refine and embed further its current quality assurance systems. Further, the achievement of internationally recognized excellence will require AUW to put in place processes of change which deliver real improvements which impact on the experience of students, teaching staff, and the community.
