A one-day training workshop on the development of protocols for scoping and systematic review was conducted today by the Nutrition and Health Center for Training and Research (NHCTR) in collaboration with the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM). The workshop was attended by faculty members from the Schools of Health Sciences, Medicine, and Pharmacy. They were also joined by colleagues from the Federal Ministry of Health's General Directorate of Pharmacy who were involved in updating the National Action Plan for Antimicrobial Resistance. The workshop aimed to equip participants with the necessary knowledge and skills for conducting systematic and scoping reviews in their fields. In the workshop, the participants developed concept notes that will be further developed into protocols for scoping reviews on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR), vaccination among nomads, growth monitoring, and adolescent health. The workshop was facilitated by two faculty members including Dr. Huda Sharfi, the head of the Public Health Training and Research Unit (PHTRU) and Dr. Sahar Al Amir, a PhD candidate and lecturer in the school of medicine. As well as Dr. Sara Abbas, LSHTM's Sexual and Reproductive Health consultant.
